Clinical Hypnotherapy uses the therapeutic state of Hypnosis to help you make positive and wanted changes to transform your life.

Hypnosis is a completely natural state, which we enter many times during our daily lives.  When you relax while reading a book or watching a movie, or when you are performing familiar tasks like driving or playing sports, you are accessing “programs” stored in your subconscious mind, which is a state of hypnosis.   The Hypnotherapist acts as a guide, using sound principles of neuroscience and experience to identify and access the “programs” that do not serve you and install “new programs” to help you make positive changes in your life.
Contrary to popular belief, Hypnotherapy does not send you to sleep or allow the Hypnotherapist to control you.  It gives you control of your life and wakes you up to your life.  Under hypnosis, you will never say or do anything that is in conflict with your personal ethical values, beliefs and desires.
Being hypnotised feels like being very relaxed and you will remember the session and hypnosis, as you are in control of the process.
All therapy is handled with the strictest confidence.

  • Weight loss: As humans we are wired to eat.  Eating is a very primal activity, linked directly to our survival.  In today’s world we are mostly surrounded by convenience based food with very low nutritional value.  These two factors combined has lead to a world-wide health crisis.  Being overweight has the potential to negatively affect almost every other part of your life, including health, energy, sleep, confidence, self-esteem, relationships etc.  Only 2% of conventional diets are successful over the long run.  I belief this is because they are used as a temporary way to eat.  The original meaning of the word diet is “way of life” so, for changes to be successful in the long run, it has to be a “way of life”. Hypnotherapy can help you understand the emotional reasons around overeating and poor food choices, as well as the psychological reasons for your weight.  My programme will be tailored to your individual needs and aims to also provide education around better lifestyle choices.
  • Public Speaking:  The fear of public speaking is the most common fear amongst us.  Hypnotherapy has proven very successful in overcoming this fear by addressing self-imposed barriers, limits and thoughts.  You will benefit from my personal experience in this area, where I can also assist you with presentational skills and strategy.
  • Smoking:  Smoking is a habit, much more than an addiction.  Most conventional treatments deal with the cravings only and that is why many falls short.  Hypnotherapy addresses the habit as well as the emotional and social factors around smoking.
  • Anxiety and Stress:  Stress and Anxiety is a modern-day pandemic, affecting young and old.  If not treated these can lead to a myriad of other more serious physical and mental conditions.  Hypnotherapy deals with the habits of thoughts and interpretations of events in your life, that cause stress and anxiety, by focussing inward, teaching you relaxation techniques and creating new associations that serve you better.
  • Alcohol:  Many people use alcohol as an escape; a way to relax or to gain social confidence, so over time an association is formed that does not serve your life or your health in the best way.  Hypnotherapy is used to analyse these associations and to create new associations that put you in control of binge or habitual drinking.
  • Fears and Phobias:  Flying, Heights, Exams, Insects, Reptiles, Animals, Claustrophobia, Needles, Driving, Agoraphobia
  • Habits: Unhealthy relationship with social media and electronic devices, Nail biting, Hair pulling, Swearing
  • Sleep disorders: Insomnia, Bedwetting
  • Sports, Career and Study Performance:  Setting and Achieving goals, Improved focus and confidence, Exam preparation and writing
  • Confidence: Self-esteem, Social Confidence, Courage
  • Pain Management: It is critical to seek medical advice for any pain you might be experiencing, but once you have done that, Hypnosis is a very effective complementary tool for managing chronic pain.  Hypnosis uses the remarkable healing powers of your mind to reduce pain, increase mobility and gain control of how you feel.
  • Relationships: Overcoming difficulties in romantic, family, friends or work relationships.
 
Self Hypnosis:  Self hypnosis is a very powerful therapeutic tool.  Since Hypnosis is a natural state and you are in control the entire time, it is possible to teach you to become your own guide instead of having the Hypnotherapist as a guide.  In many cases, I will suggest Self Hypnosis as one of the treatment strategies for my clients.
 
Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a solutions-based therapeutic methodology based on the study of:
  • Neuro (the brain and neurological processes)
  • Linguistic (both verbal and non-verbal body language)
  • Programming (behavioural patterns learned through experience)
This model is applied to interpret and understand someone’s patterns of behaviour and subjective experiences.  The information is then used to educate the person in effective communication and self-awareness in order to change any unwanted patterns of behaviour.  NLP is a very effective tool that enables people to understand and control their emotional states and to return freedom of choice, which allows you to be your BEST SELF, more often. NLP is extensively used in Clinical Hypnotherapy.
 
Life Coaching can be used to address any and all areas of your life.  Whether you are feeling stuck and lack motivation or need clarity, direction or focus.  Maybe you need assistance with goal setting, deciding which area of studies is right for you or are considering a career change?  Life Coaching can help you take stock of your life, figure out where you want to be and assist and guide you with a plan to get there.  Life coaching provides tools that help you create the life of your dreams and puts you in charge of your destiny.
